Hemant Kathuria Branch Manager
After completing his dual major in Economics and Political Science in 1989 from UC Berkeley, Hemant worked as Pension Administrator for Lawrence Johnson and Associates. He did tax planning and counseling for corporate pension plans. In 1992, he purchased a stake in an early stage manufacturing company, where he worked until early 2007. His duties as vice president included sales, marketing, product development, cost containment, budgeting, and general business management. Under his tenure, he was instrumental in increasing sales from less than 2 million/yr to over 16 million/yr.
Hemant has been successfully managing his family's investments for over 20 years, and shares Peter Schiff's views on stocks, commodities, gold, and the dollar. These common themes make him a perfect fit at Euro Pacific Capital.
He holds FINRA licenses series 4, 7, 24, and 66.
John Downs Assistant Branch Manager/Investment Consultant
Mr. Downs comes to Euro Pacific Capital as a real estate investor and mortgage industry insider, where he most recently founded and operated a multi-state wholesale lender. His firsthand "inside the bubble" experience validates the predictions that Peter Schiff has espoused for years. Mr. Downs was a student-athlete at the University of California Davis, where he graduated with degrees in History and Political science. Mr. Downs is an avid student of government monetary and economic policy, the Federal Reserve banking system, and the implications for your investments.
A licensed California Real Estate Broker, he is nearing completion of his Certified Financial Planner designation and studying for his Chartered Financial Analyst exam. He presently holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses.
Stephen Echeverria Investment Consultant
Mr. Echeverria earned a B.S. from the University of Southern California, where he majored in Business Administration with a Concentration in Corporate Finance. A dean's list honor student, Stephen studied under former SEC chief economist Larry Harris and developed a keen interest in understanding why some people make money in the markets while others do not.
After graduating from USC, he joined Morgan Stanley as a financial consultant, where he helped develop customized portfolios under the private wealth management group. With the goal of fully diversifying clients, his focus turned to international equities and precious metals.
Fluent in Spanish, Stephen has spent over two years of his life in South America. While observing family owned nylon manufacturing and plastic distribution companies, he came to understand the importance of taking a top down macro economic approach to investing.
Stephen holds FINRA Series 7, 31, and 66 licenses as well as a California Life and Health insurance license.
Dana Lamb Investment Consultant
Before joining Euro Pacific Capital, Mr. Lamb was the Director of Trading and Account Management at Tower Asset, a Beverly Hills wealth management firm. Prior to that, he was a futures trader and broker in the NASDAQ 100 and S & P 500 futures pits at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Options Exchange. His experience in wealth management and equities along with his desire to help people preserve and grow their wealth is what has led him to Euro Pacific Capital.
Mr. Lamb earned his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a double major in English and Political Science. He resides in Hollywood, CA. with his fiancée Helena, a script writer and sales and marketing consultant. He holds both his FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses.
Ken Hensley Investment Consultant
Mr. Hensley comes to Euro Pacific Capital with twelve years of experience as an independent investor successfully managing a portfolio of equities focused in emerging markets, energy, precious metals, agriculture and other natural resources. His extensive reading in macroeconomics, as well as experience investing through the dot.com bust of 2000 and recent housing meltdown, have led him to share Peter Schiff's essential views on the global economy and, more recently, to leave a lucrative consulting business to join Euro Pacific Capital.
Ken's academic, professional and personal background give him particular strengths in communication and the ability to work with people to help them achieve their goals. In 1983, he graduated summa cum laude with a Masters Degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. He worked for 13 years as a teacher and counselor before starting his own HR consulting firm in 1997, which he successfully ran for ten years before coming on board with Euro Pacific Capital.
He holds both FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses.
Neeraj Chaudhary Investment Consultant
Mr. Chaudhary comes to Euro Pacific Capital after spending nearly fifteen years implementing software solutions for financial services, technology, and telecommunications firms around the world. With a front row seat to the "dotcom" boom - and bust - he developed an insider's perspective on the excesses that developed during the so-called "New Economy" of the 1990s. This experience led Mr. Chaudhary to return to the sound money principles he originally discovered while obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Economics from UC Berkeley.
He currently holds both FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
Andy Chon Investment Consultant
Mr. Chon graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in International Relations and Global Business. Extensive international travel has allowed Mr. Chon to observe the dynamic relationships between globalization and multinational investment flows. His focus on the growing influence of multinational corporations in the global economy during his studies at USC allows for keen insight into international investments.
Mr. Chon began his investment career at Edward Jones as a financial advisor in his hometown of Pasadena, California. With his educational background focused in international investments, and his personal beliefs aligned with Mr. Schiff's, Euro Pacific Capital is a natural fit. His extensive knowledge of foreign markets and Asia in particular, allows Mr. Chon to effectively communicate the value of investing overseas.
Mr. Chon is fluent in Korean and currently holds his FINRA series 7 and 66 licenses as well as a California Life and Health insurance license.
Tony Nessan Investment Consultant
Tony joins Euro Pacific Capital after having spent three years managing a successful information technology consulting group. In 2008, he left the consulting business to join the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign. Having been a student of macro and micro economic theory at the University of California Los Angeles, Tony became heavily influenced in his studies by the free market economists Ludwig von Mises and Murray Rothbard. He understands the fundamental relationships between monetary policy and inflation and credits the grassroots campaign of Ron Paul as the primary catalyst in his decision to join Peter Schiff, Ron Paul's principal economic advisor. Tony's primary goal is to help investors protect their wealth from what he sees as the on-going debasement of the US dollar.
Fluent in Assyrian, Tony received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles with a focus in finance and accounting. He holds both his FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses.
Richard Ressel Investment Consultant
Prior to joining Euro Pacific Capital, Richard was a research analyst at the New York based equities and market research house Hallgarten & Company. At Hallgarten, Richard gained extensive knowledge analyzing the Latin American micro and macroeconomic environments, natural resources industries, and the junior mining sector. He is an avid reader and a dedicated observer of the world financial markets.
Richard is a first generation Canadian, with an Austrian and Peruvian Background, is fluent in Spanish, and has lived in Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, and Canada. He received his B.A. in International Business with an emphasis in Finance from San Diego State University and holds his FINRA series 7 and 66 licenses.
Brian Gallo Investment Consultant
Prior to joining Euro Pacific Capital, Brian was a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in Silicon Valley. His additional experience as a Derivatives Sales Trader at Global Link LLC provided valuable insight into the complexities of the global currency markets. As a staunch advocate of Austrian economics and a believer in sound money, Brian's views are aligned with Peter Schiff, making him a natural fit here at Euro Pacific.
Brian has travelled extensively and lived abroad, most recently in India where he volunteered for several months teaching English and yoga to village children in Tamil Nadu. Currently, Brian works with at risk youth as a yoga teacher in Los Angeles. His studies of yogic philosophy have served him well in understanding the chaos of markets, and more importantly, in being of service to his clients.
Brian has an MBA with emphasis in Finance from the University of Miami and holds FINRA Series 3, 7 and 66 licenses.
Helen Erskine Investment Consultant
After obtaining a Master's degree (with Honors) in Mathematics from Oxford University, Helen Erskine began her professional career as a Chartered Accountant in England, eventually rising to the level of General Practice Manager as a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand in Los Angeles. Constantly in search of new challenges, Helen next turned her passion for flying into a second career, culminating in her position as a professional airline pilot for United Airlines.
It was during her years as an international airline pilot that Helen first became aware of the investment opportunities available globally, and of the structural weaknesses in the US economy. Her training in finance allows her to identify profitable investments in all asset classes, including foreign equities, bonds, and precious metals, and she brings the same careful consideration to meeting her clients' needs as she has done in managing her own investment portfolio.
In her spare time, Helen is also a semi-professional musician. She resides with her family in the Los Angeles area. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
David Echeverria Investment Consultant
David joins Euro Pacific Capital after having recently completed his M.A. in Political Science from Columbia University in the City of New York. Mr. Echeverria's studies focused primarily on issues relating to the international political economy of developing states in Latin America and Asia. Concurrently, Mr. Echeverria partnered with a small developer of alternative energies to explore the development of small scale solar and wind projects in the Southwest United States. As a member of Euro Pacific Capital, David hopes to help clients employ "out of the box" thinking and explore investment opportunities in both emerging markets and industrial sectors.
In his free time David enjoys mountaineering, scuba diving, and traveling. He has backpacked across much of Latin America, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia. Mr. Echeverria also spent a semester studying at el Universidad de Chile and Pontificia Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile.
Fluent in Spanish, David earned his B.A. in International Relations and Art History from the University of Southern California. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
David Liokumovich Investment Consultant
Originally from Russia, Mr. Liokumovich has experienced, firsthand, the effects an unstable currency can have on a family’s savings and wealth. A believer in the Austrian school of economics and an ardent advocate of Peter Schiff’s message, David understands the importance of diversifying into tangible assets and guarding one’s wealth from the destructive effects of inflation.
David earned a B.S. from San Diego State University, where he majored in Finance with an emphasis on Financial Services. His studies focused on financial planning and he graduated Cum Laude, ranking 2nd in his major. Prior to joining Euro Pacific Capital, David worked as an Investment Consultant with The Vanguard Group in Scottsdale, Arizona.
David is conversational in Russian and holds both FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
Anthony Ettaro Investment Consultant
Tony began his professional career as a general contractor, owner of a custom home building business in the Santa Monica Mountains, spending six years in the profession. He then retrained as a software engineer, spending the next 20+ years in the industry, first at Citicorp-Quotron and then at Sun Microsystems.
During his eight years at Citicorp, Tony gained deep insight into retail and institutional brokerage and investing by designing the software applications and systems that were then in use by all major Wall Street firms.
At Sun Microsystems, where Tony was in charge of engineering for advanced Java products, he traveled extensively in Europe and especially Asia (China, South Korea and Japan) and saw firsthand the enormous potential for business opportunities and investments outside the US.
Tony earned a BA degree in English Literature at Calif State University Northridge. He is a dual US and Italian citizen and resides with his family in a home he designed and built in the Santa Monica Mountains near Los Angeles.
Tony holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
